Dr. Laura De La Cruz is an experienced educator, academic leader, and author with a strong focus on innovation, workforce development, and student-centered learning. Currently serving as the Interim Dean of Advanced Technologies at Doña Ana Community College (DACC), Dr. De La Cruz oversees a wide range of technical and industry-aligned programs, including Aerospace, Electronics, and Environmental Technologies.
With a doctorate in Educational Leadership and advanced studies in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration and Hospitality Services, she brings interdisciplinary expertise to both academic and applied contexts. Her research and teaching interests span artificial intelligence in hospitality, workforce transformation, credit for prior learning, and educational equity at Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs).
A passionate advocate for lifelong learning, Dr. De La Cruz has developed numerous academic and workforce pathways, led institutional accreditation initiatives, and published extensively, including over 400 non-fiction works and a growing body of scholarly contributions. She regularly presents on topics including AI integration in higher education and hospitality, instructional design, and faculty readiness.
In addition to her academic work, Dr. De La Cruz is an entrepreneur, an AKC herding judge, and an international best-selling author. She is committed to empowering students and professionals alike through innovative, inclusive, and future-focused education.
